Fantastic Food, fantastic service, fantastic location. Just looking at the pictures, I thought the food might be simple. It is, but it is also incredibly delicious! The server was very patient in explaining the options (1 Base, 3 Veggies, 1 Bean, 1 Protein) to us non-portuguese tourists. Then we were sent upstairs, which confused us at first because downstairs was nearly empty. The restaurant looks small, but it has a whole upper floor which is designed super cozy. We had a really nice, simpel and healthy dinner at Suribachi. There is a buffet and you can arrange your own bowl. The lady was super friendly & the portions are big. Would definitely recommend.

Ontem à noite atravessamos a cidade (moramos perto do mar) e quando chegamos ao Suribachi estava fechado. Antes de sairmos de casa verificamos online que o restaurante se encontrava aberto não fosse estar fechado para férias. Depois de darmos com o nariz na porta fomos informados por vizinhos de que o Suribachi só tem funcionado ao almoço. Também não tem qualquer informação afixada no próprio restaurante. Isto não se faz! É assim que se perdem clientes!Tradução
Last night we crossed the city (we live near the sea) and when we arrived at Suribachi it was closed. Before leaving home we checked online and saw that the restaurant was open, except perhaps for the holidays. After finding the door locked, neighbors informed us that Suribachi has only been open for lunch. There's also no information posted inside the restaurant itself. This is unacceptable! This is how you lose customers!

While I wholeheartedly welcome this good initiative, I must admit that the simple plant-based meal for 12 euros wasn't as good as expected. It had been prepared many hours earlier, was cold, and in some places unappetizing.

They keep refilling the food stock, yes. The big plate is 5,50 Euros and for 7,50 euros you can add a delicious soup. There are many more options, but I can't remember prices. Hope I have helped!
